Roofing Is A Commodity

Roofing is a commodity.
Meaning, it's common. Easy to get. #sad
Anything common and easy to get is cheap, right?
Click this link to see what I mean about roofing being a commodity.
Notice, I didn't say quality, professional roofing is a commodity, but everybody claims they're quality, professional, experienced, licensed, certified, blah, blah, blah, right?
You and me, we know the difference because we're experts in the roofing business.
We can pass a new install going 70 MPH down the interstate and spot the problems out of the corner of our eye. We know quality!

Smart People Tell Me I'm Stupid

This is where all the dumb people say, “Mike, I’ll tell ya you’re stupid for free!”

And because I’ve paid them big money, I listen real good and take massive action.

It’s humbling.

Real humbling!

As an entrepreneur, I’m heavily invested in believing I can do it.

My family’s survival has often come down to the good Lord and my determination to figure it out.

I’ve always trusted me more than I trusted anybody else because...

Stuck & Getting UnStuck

I remember feeling stuck.
There was a time, not so long ago, when my wife and I were always waiting for the other shoe to drop--the next bad thing to happen in our life.
So many bad things had been happening for so long (e.g. collapsed business, panic attacks, eviction notices, repo'd vehicle, utilities disconnected, bad health, overwhelming depression, aggressive lawsuits, loss of friends, death of close family, etc.), we felt stuck in a life we didn't know how to escape.
Maybe you've been there. Maybe you're there now.
Stuck is when disaster feels like it's inevitable; we just don't know exactly when it's going to happen, it's an endless loop of expecting the worst and getting what we were expecting.
My wife would tell me, "If we could just figure out ONE THING that works, we could work it for all it's worth and get out of this mess. We just need ONE THING that works."
When you're stuck, it's almost impossible to think...
